18 Step Search Process

SCW Consulting offers comprehensive recruiting services. In the search process, we enter into a partnership with our client and candidates. Think of us as an extension of your company. We have exacting standards we follow in our search for the "perfect" candidate to fill your position. The following steps detail the thoroughness we employ in our search and selection process:

  1. Obtain complete job order including how we can attract candidates from select companies. Define hiring process and level of urgency with all hiring authorities involved in the decision making process.
  2. Obtain profile of ideal candidate, providing the option of personality profiling of client's top performing employees. This composite personality profile may be used for screening candidates.
  3. Consult client on industry compensation standards.
  4. Define the marketplace to include client's direct and indirect competitors. Determine additional companies that employ candidates with desirable skill sets. Compile list of desirable source companies and candidates. Review and revise this list with client.
  5. In-depth telephone interview with candidates to ascertain three things:
    1. Do they have the appropriate background?
    2. Are they willing to change jobs for the right opportunity?
    3. Determine if candidate's career goals will be satisfied by client's opportunity.
  6. Present to client a short list of qualified candidates and gain pre-approval and feedback to move forward with candidate in the hiring process within 24 hours.
  7. Submit resumes to client and discuss key qualification of these candidate(s).
  8. Arrange first telephone, face-to-face or videoconference interviews with client.
  9. Prepare candidates for first interview including company or hiring authority's issues and concerns.
  10. Prepare client for first interview including candidate's issues and concerns.
  11. Debrief candidate and client immediately following each interview. Professionally release any candidate the client does not wish to pursue.
  12. Arrange future interviews and discuss applicable issues and concerns.
  13. Provide results of in-depth reference check and educational verification to client, upon request.
  14. Verify earnings and negotiate package to be offered to ensure satisfaction on both parts.
  15. Extend verbal offer to candidate and relay acceptance of offer to client.
  16. Consult with candidate about resignation and counter-offer.
  17. Confirm start date. Candidate will confirm acceptance of offer in writing.
  18. Follow-up with candidate and client through start date and initial phases of employment.
